Zomerhit
During the summer vacation of 2024, Radio 2 DJ Kim Debrie and her team will broadcast live from the Pier in Blankenberge for 8 weeks. Every weekday, you can enjoy performances by well-known artists. On August 12th and 13th, shows will be recorded introducing the nominees. These shows can be viewed on VRT Max and VRT 1 on August 17th and 24th. The finale, in which the top 10 most popular songs compete for the title of Summer Hit 2024, will be broadcast live on VRT1, Radio 2, and VRT Max on August 31st. Hosts for the event are Siska Schoeters and Niels Destadsbader. See you all there!
Parkies
On Wednesday evenings, Park De Craene in Uitkerke is ‘the place to be’ to gather for a cozy musical performance. Both residents and tourists enjoy well-known artists here in a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. The festival is known for its intimate concerts.
You are welcome in the cozy Parkies Village from 7 PM to 11 pm. Performances start at 8 PM, every Wednesday in July and August. Admission is free.
Bloemencorso (25/08/’24)
This magnificent flower parade, which traditionally concludes the summer season, attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. The theme varies each year. This year, it’s “Press Play”s turn. More than 20 floats will depict the virtual world of arcade games and gaming consoles using 800,000 colorful flowers.
